play safe – stay safe
GUIDELINES FOR PLAYING GOLF
Following advice from England Golf the Board of Directors are issuing these arrangements to give guidance to members as we return to playing golf after the recent enforced break due to Covid 19.
The Club has adopted procedures to ensure that we can ensure compliance with government restrictions and social distancing. The over-riding consideration throughout must be to PLAY SAFE AND STAY SAFE with the health and wellbeing of members and staff taking precedence at all times.
These guidelines cover all aspects of the golfing experience from arrival in the car park, the round of golf itself and the departure on completion of your round which must be followed by all members without exception.
Course set –up
Course
▪️ Hand sanitizers have been installed outside the Proshop, at the Halfway House, by the side entrance to the Clubhouse and on the wall between the two locker room doors. Please use them.
▪️All rakes have been removed from bunkers – bunkers will be raked by the greens staff using machinery.
▪️All ball washers have been removed.
Hole and flagstick
▪️The flagsticks will be retained but must not be touched at any time.
▪️There is no need to touch the flagstick or the hole to retrieve the ball as the hole has been adapted to enable you to retrieve the ball without putting your hand down into the hole.
Practice areas and putting green
The practice area is available for use but please observe social distancing at all times. The putting green may be used for 5 minutes immediately before your round.
Booking tee times
▪️All tee times must be booked via the Club V1 Members Hub using the App or on–line. Only those members who do not have access to the online booking system should make telephone bookings.
▪️To ensure that robust track and trace information is available if needed all players names must be entered on the booking at the time of making.
▪️There must be no entries showing “guest” or “***” and if any such entries are made the booking will be deleted.
▪️Tee times will be 10 minutes apart to ensure adequate social distancing can be achieved. Access to the tee sheet will be members only for the first two weeks.
▪️There will be no reservations or block bookings for particular groups or sections. Members may play at any time subject only to these guidelines and the restrictions imposed by their own individual membership category. Please be mindful that there will be a large demand for tee times and be considerate when booking tee times so everyone gets a fair chance to play.
▪️The Club will constantly review the booking on process
