Welcome to the Seniors Section

Welcome to the web site page of Bingley St’ Ives Golf club’s Senior’s Section.

The Seniors Section was formed in early 2012, with the intention of working for and on behalf of all senior members within the Golf Club.

Our mission is to help renew old friendships and create new ones, all through social and competitive Golf, these goals still remain our prime aim.

We have over the last few years formed a hardworking and experience committee, we have introduced Qualifying Competitions for handicap purposes along with Mid-Week Stableford and, Mid-Week Stroke play competitions as well as knockout Match Play competitions and a singles accumulative trophy.

Whilst seniors can play in any club run seniors competition only paid up section members can win section run competitions so please ensure your section subs are paid before entering.

Membership is open to all members of the Golf Club who have reached the age of 55 and you can become a member and pay your £5 membership fee through the V1app direct to the club.

In addition the section also plays Seniors Friendly matches against many other local clubs including Shipley, Northcliffe, Keighley, Cleckheaton, Cookridge, West Bradford and Horsforth.

Other events include a reciprocal away day in July, a Seniors Invitation Day in August and Turkey Trot in October not forgetting of course the Seniors Christmas Lunch in December.

Moving with the times we are making use of emails and texts to inform members of team selections and other section news and unless you tell us to the contrary we assume you are agreeable to this form of communication.

Members of the committee together with knockout draws and team information will be posted on the senior’s notice board in the main corridor.

We hope you will join Bingley St Ives Golf Club’s Seniors Section and thoroughly enjoy the sections competitions and events and look forward to seeing you throughout the season.
